Ugandan Poet in disapora Stella Nyanzi has called out NUP Leader Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine and accused him of utter disrespect towards the grieving mother of the late Honourable Muhammad Ssegirinya .
According to Stella Nyanzi, it was rather uncalled for for a grieving mother to be denied the body of her son to be given a final send off at the Butale Grounds where a state organized funeral for the deceased had been planned by a colleague, Mathias Mpuuga.
Stella Nyanzi alleges that Ssegirinya's mother only wanted a peaceful send off for her son which she failed to get as everything about the burial of her own son was politicized and taken over by Bobi Wine.
According to her, it was uncalled for for NUP supporters to lock away the body and have the mother pleading for a peaceful send off like that which she considers disrespect to the grieving family
Stella Nyanzi therefore stated that in this case, Mathias Mpuuga scored more brownie points than Robert Kyagulanyi who happened to force his own will on a grieving mother who only wanted to send her son off.
"Bobi Wine's disrespect towards Mama Segirinya is deeply troubling and shows a lack of empathy for a grieving family. They neglected and abandoned the late,only to now try and portray themselves as heroes at the end. Bagala bafu." Stella Nyanzi posted via her X account.
Ugandans on X had various reactions on this issue which they expressed in the comment section of Stella Nyanzi's post. Whereas some people were on her side, others chose to trash her ideologies, stating that she is only trying to seek relevance via her posts.
Others also highlighted that she only has hate for Bobi Wine yet she also is in exile after falling out with the regieme
