Early this year, King of the Mic MC Kats stated that he was quitting the night life because he has to pursue his other dreams, mostly with his foundation as well as focusing on his You tube channel.
MC Kats however is one of the most celebrated Mcees in Uganda and his contributions to the music industry can never go unnoticed by not only netizens but fellow musicians as well. When it comes to giving him his flowers very many people have come out to praise MC Kats for being one of the champions of promoting Ugandan music internationally.
Kats has not stopped at promoting musicians but very many times, he has lent a helping hand to struggling musicians that he has deemed talented and it is beautiful to see that they have never forgotten everything he did for them. One of the musicians hat has a beautiful History with MC Kats is none other than female diva Cindy Sanyu.
According to Cindy Sanyu, she will always celebrate the Mcee because she could never forget the great kindness he showed her at the start of her solo career. When things were tough for Cindy, Kats was always there to lend a helping hand to her through the rough patch.
Cindy decided to give MC Kats his flowers after a successful Blu*3 reunion concert. Well, Cindy recalls that the start of her solo career was far from easy and in most cases, she always found herself pleading for people to help her out mostly with her concerts and many people were not willing to, but Kats always was willing to help her out. Cindy states that MC Kats even went to an extent of Mceeing at her concerts free of charge.
“At the start of my music career, things were not looking up for me. My very first concert was Amateeka, and because I had no budget, I looked for any emcees that could help me but no one was willing. However, MC Kats came to me and told me he believed in me and that he was going to emceed for me. He did not call me the following morning asking to be paid.” She stated
According to Cindy Sanyu, this was not a one time thing because MC Kats did the same thing when she had her Boom Party concert in 2020. She stated that this is why she is willing to also be there for him in any way possible. Cindy stated that if he ever has a King of the Mic event , he should remember to call her because she is ready and willing to turn up for him
