Every person dreams of having friends who are there for them in times when they are going through a rough patch. This is one of the many reasons why people keep collecting social capital in gorm of acquaintances. Singer Fille Mutoni has revealed that when she was down with depression, she discovered a lot of things about her social circle and the local music industry in general.
Fille attributed every issue disturbing the music industry to pride and ego that she said is eating the industry so bad to the point their colleagues break down and there’s no one to support them, simply because every one is too busy minding their business and acting like they don’t care about each other to actually lend a helping hand to fellow musicians that actually need it.
According to Fille, she said that her shock came more from those that actually turned up to check on her more than those that did not. Fille mentioned that those she spent her time with stayed away, those she did not give her time actually showed up for her in her time of need
Fille mentioned that everyone sge expected to stand up for her did not even bother to send a ny help air give her a shoulder to cry on but yet the artistes she never really paid much attention to were always there and ready to give her a helping hand.
“I was going through a tough time and got shocked by the artistes that reached out to me. The ones I expected never did. Maureen Nantume, Rema Namakula, Nina Roz came through for me. But those I thought were my friends stayed in their cocoons,” Fille said while appearing on a local television station.
Following Fille’s nasty breakup with her baby daddy and former manager, MC Kats years, ago (the same break up that she claimed was the reason she fell off the music scene. It got worse to an extent that according to rumors She was at one point reported to be battling substance abuse and depression.
This was indeed true so Fille opted for therapy while staying far from the public’s eye. Many asked where Fille had gone off to but no one had a definite answer on her whereabouts so they just waited for her to return to the music scene
Then she bounced back in mid 2021, got signed under new management ( Maritini Entertainment ) , hit the gym under her new manager’s directive, then hit studio. Even with this done, Fille is yet to return to as a hot shot.
