A disagreement has erupted between singer Bruno K and renowned US-based beautician Jalia Nassolo, also known as Jalia Walda.
The conflict between the two revolves around Bruno K's recent song and financial matters.
Earlier this month, Bruno K ,legally addressed as Bruno Kiggundu dropped a ballad titled Jalia in honour of Jalia Walda, funded by the beautician’s mother.
The song was meant to praise Jalia Walda for her care and support for her mother over the years. However, instead of highlighting Jalia Walda's compassionate and family-oriented nature, the song has caused frustration for the beautician.
In one of TikTok livestreams, Jalia Walda attacked Bruno K and accused him of unprofessionalism and theft.
She in the first instance revealed that she had fully paid Bruno K the agreed amount for the collaboration.
Bruno K further demanded that she purchase the outfits he used in the video shoot for the song. Jalia, aiming to support the project, complied with this additional request.
Despite complying with his request, Bruno K later accused Jalia of not attending the shoot, a claim she strongly refuted.
In a video accessed by this website, Jalia expressed her disappointment at the false accusation, stating that she had fulfilled all her obligations.
She went ahead and condemned Bruno K's behavior, labeling him as ungrateful and lacking humanity. She attributed his stagnant music career to his unprofessionalism and disrespect towards collaborators.
"If you see artists fail to make it, it’s not because the industry doesn’t pay. Those artists are crooks. They are dishonest, untrustworthy and thieves. How can Bruno K accuse me of being late for a video shoot that I was going to entirely foot. He simply didn’t show up after giving me a program,”she said.
When he came across Jalia's statements, Bruno K defended himself against Jalia's accusations, claiming that the videographer was the one who arrived late.
Bruno maintained that he couldn’t refund the money as demanded by Jalia Walda, asserting that he already used it to borrow the camera and other equipment.
"I don’t understand why someone would come to the media and lie to people about me stealing the video shoot money . Jalia knows the truth, she knows that she was supposed to show up for the video shoot but when the video director delayed she left. It is not my fault, she knows she is not perfect because there are times she was also late,”he said.
