Claims arose about Socialite Zari Hassan’s toy boy Shakib Lutaaya being a married man who can not have the luxury of marrying the current love of his life. All the evidence was circulated, proving that Shakib was indeed off the shelf and even when he claimed he had ended the relationship, he never got a divorce in the first place.
According to these claims, that Shakib Lutaaya was already legally married to another woman identified as Shakirah Nalule, commonly known as Mimi before starting a relationship with Zari, Shakib has however come out and refuted the claims, saying that he and Nalule only ever dated and never married.
The reports landed on by this site Show that Shakib and Nalule got married in June 2016 and that she then successfully applied for his US visa on his behalf in May 2017. Still according to Intel, the two allegedly had disagreements, and it is said that Nalule requested a divorce from Shakib, which Shakib allegedly turned down but she went ahead and moved on to another relationship.
According to famous Blogger Ritah Kaggwa, Mimi had asked Shakib for a divorce earlier on after both parties decided to move on with their love lives. She notes that Shakib did not agree to Shakira’s request, as he failed to grant this request and chose to ignore her so she decided to move on without the divorce.
However, in a phone interview with a local television station, Shakib revealed that he knows the mentioned Shakirah Nalule and that he dated her over eight years ago but they never married.
“I know Shakirah Nalule, and she was my girlfriend eight years ago but never got married,” he said.
Shakib revealed the reason why the two broke up and to him, it seemed inevitable because the two were of the same clan, which is prohibited by the Baganda culture as it is considered a taboo for two clan mates to be having a romantic affair. He also went ahead to say that on top of that, she mothered six children with different men.
“She even wanted me to go to America while I was in South Africa, but I refused after finding out that we are both from the same clan, “Ngonge” not only that she also has six children from different men,” said Shakib.
