    in summary
UN reports have accused Uganda as a country of working actively in support of the M23 rebels, citing the active involvement of journalist Andrew Mwenda in diplomatic dealings with this rebel group that has wrecked havoc in Congo.

This World seems to be working against Veteran Journalist Andrew Mwenda after a jaw dropping report by the United Nations has slapped treacherous accusations his way.

At first, there was news of the same Andrew Mwenda being pressed against the wall by the United States of America following suspicions of him being involved in corruption scandals. His assets in the United States were also frozen right away as he was being investigated for corruption.

According to the new report by the United Nations, Andrew Mwenda has been accused of secretly supporting the violence acts of the M23 rebels, a Congolese armed group that has currently caused unrest in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The leaked report that has also been cited by Daily Monitor has accused Uganda as a country of working actively in support of the M23 rebels, citing the active involvement of journalist Andrew Mwenda in diplomatic dealings with this rebel group that has wrecked havoc in Congo.

    Muhoozi

According to the United Nations investigators, Uganda’s military, specifically the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) headed by General Muhoozi Kainerugaba together with its intelligence wing the Defence Intelligence and Security (DIS) has been actively supporting M23 and many other rebel groups operating in eastern DRC.

The report claims that Andrew Mwenda has been working behind the scenes in the capital city of Uganda Kampala to secure diplomatic immunity for the M23 rebels. This has raised grave concern amongst Ugandans as many have come out to question whether Uganda really is involved with the M23 rebels.

The current posts of Chief of Defense force General Muhoozi Kainerugaba is not helping the situation as well considering that he keeps referring to the M23 rebels as "brothers", something that has many people thinking he is on the same side with the ruthless rebels.

There are also allegations that the M23 rebels are too powerful hence debates as to whether they are just paper tigers with major powers backing them up is also out there. This is where many have come up with the theory that Uganda is backing the M23 rebels secretly.

However much both Uganda and Andrew Mwenda have denied these claims of their involvement with the M23 rebels with an explanation that their involvement in this matter was strictly to help find a peaceful resolution to the conflict, there are still doubts regarding the relation between the  two Countries basing on past relationship strains between the two countries.
