Patrick Amuriat, FDC presidential candidate has been hit with tear gas canisters during his campaigns.
This occurred today as he campaigned to/with his supporters.
It is also known that Amuriat campaigns in feet ever since the presidential nomination day when he went to pick his nomination papers without shoes. This happened due to a scuffle with the police.
Opposition parties/ candidates in Uganda are known to be hit with tear gas and mistreated by police most of the times.
However, the police brutality has seen increase during this campaign time with the death of many Ugandans.
