    The 2024 Uganda Waragi Nyege Nyege Festival is gearing up to present a thrilling musical journey for its upcoming edition, scheduled from November 14th to 17th at the scenic Jinja Golf Course. This year, the festival aims to be a monumental tribute to music, culture, and creativity, shining a spotlight on the lively sounds of Uganda and across the African continent.

    One of the highlights of the event will be a unique showcase by Nigeria’s celebrated record label, Chocolate City. This partnership will bring three of the label’s most dynamic stars – Major AJ, Tar1q, and Candy Bleakz – to the banks of the Nile, symbolizing the unity and innovative spirit at the heart of African music.

    Major AJ will open the showcase, captivating the audience with his vibrant Afrobeats and engaging lyrics, setting the mood for an unforgettable show. Next up, Tar1q will bring his smooth vocals and reflective lyrics, a testament to the ongoing evolution of Nigerian music. Closing the showcase, Candy Bleakz will take the stage with her bold style and powerful lyrics, breaking conventions and inspiring festival-goers.

    Adding to the festival’s dynamic lineup are over 200 Ugandan artists, including national icons like Elijah Kitaka, Pia Pounds, Recho Rey, Zex Bilangilangi, Kenneth Mugabi, and Suuna Ben. They’ll be joined by emerging talents such as Tai Dai, Mwami, Denesi, Aliddeki Brian, and the innovative Professor Joewi, who will introduce audiences to the unique Black Wave genre.

    Uganda’s top DJs, including DJ Ssese, DJ VansS, Kampire, R3igndrops, Janja Deejay, Hibotep, Melvyn DeeJay, DJ Ali Breezy, DJ VXFaisal, and others, will be spinning to keep the energy high throughout the festival.

    Keeping the crowd engaged will be vibrant emcees like Adele Kiele, Sheila Salta, and Jokwiz, among others, making sure that each moment is filled with excitement and enthusiasm.

    This year’s Nyege Nyege Festival embraces themes of unity, resilience, and the powerful voices that drive Africa’s creative scene forward. Known for its boundary-pushing and inclusive lineup, the festival has become a cultural landmark, drawing fans from around the globe to celebrate the future of African music.
