Men all over Uganda yesterday were up in jubilation after it was announced that 2000 refugees from Afghanistan are coming into the country.
This was announced by the minister for relief, disaster, preparedness and refugees Ms Esther Anyakun who confirmed their coming to Uganda "Essawa yonna" anytime soon.
The minister said the refugees were being sent to Uganda on request from US president, Joe Biden who contacted Museveni directly to temporarily settle the now homeless people from Afghanistan.
Uganda's experience in hosting refugees also contributed to the decision because currently, the country hosts over 1.4 million refugees from neighbouring countries making it the 3rd biggest refugee host in the world as of 2021.
Now why are the Ugandan men happy
Having lots of horn by nature, Ugandan men couldn't hide the excitement on their faces after discovering the latest developments concerning Afghanistan.
Despite the refugees being traumatised by the sad events back home where their country was taken over by so-called terrorists, Ugandan men see their coming as a grand opportunity.
After failing miserably to convince Ugandan ladies (who hardly accept) the men have hope that they will be able to convince the Afghan ladies in particular.
And since these ladies are white in skin color, this makes them more attractive because skin-colour these days became a standard for beauty in Uganda meaning the lighter you are, the more attractive/beautiful you are.
The horny Ugandan men further said even if the refugees are still babies, mbu they can wait for them to grow up and then marry them thus forming the Mufaghanstani tribe.
When will the Afghan ladies arrive
For those who can't wait, they will arrive anytime this week in groups of 500 aboard emergency flights, however you must remember that it's both men and women coming (Not just ladies ?)
The disaster minister also stated that they will be here temporarily for only 3 months with all costs catered by the US government until it gets where to permanently resettle them.
According to the Daily Monitor, the government of Uganda is now preparing to recieve the groups at the airport and that Namboole stadium has been set aside to host them. ( ? Me wondering where the Covid-19 patients ran off to?? )
So how did we get here, why do we have refugees from Afghanistan
Sunday this week, Afghanistan's ruling government was toppled by the Taliban militants, an Islamist military group that has been in the country's opposition for the past 20 years.
Citizens from Afghanistan after hearing the news, started struggling to leave the country on any aircraft they could lay their hands on at the Hamid Karzai airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.
The taliban who took over are highly feared by the people of Afghanistan who only know them for their bad deeds such as murder, kidnap and rape.
The United States that supported the toppled government suffered a catastrophic failure on their foreign policy side and is currently facing humiliation on the world stage after losing Afghanistan to the Talibans.
