Ailing singer Alimpa Ronald has finally swallowed his pride and apologized to his mother following their recent misunderstandings.
First forward, Alimpa rose to fame in 2021 after releasing his only hit song sean Don, popularly known as Lusuku Lwa Cement. The song made Ugandans dance for some time and Alimpa became one of most recognised artists in the country.
However, he only enjoyed his popularity for a short time. He faced lots of challenges that even saw his career decline terribly. For instance in September 2022, he was left nursing broken legs and jaws after he was involved in a deadly car crash while rushing for a music show. The incident occurred along Semuto in Nakaseke district.
The crash claimed the lives of singers Lady Grace and Saidi Kabuye. Five other occupants in the car sustained serious injuries. Kadongo Kamu singer Hassan Ndugga was pivotal in saving Alimpa’s life as he rushed him to the hospital.
The two however fell out as Alimpa accused Ndugga of trying to steal his funds raised by well-wishers. Later on, the singer fell out with his mother. Alimpa hurled insults at his mother, prompting her to leave him at the hospital where he is bedridden.
Alimpa’s mother said his son told her he no longer wants her at the hospital. The mother said: “He told me to go and die... Let me go and die as he told me... I told him, Ronald, I'm 43, and I told him, you're 23, by the time you reach 43, you'll have seen a lot about this world... And he told me, I'm a superstar, you can't curse me... He'll heal, and I pray that he heals and understand this world.”
According to reports, the Seen Don singer wanted his mother away from him because she was making it hard for him to engage in his bad habits, like smoking weed. He decided to chase the mum away, so the wife and friends are the only ones around him.
“He told me my husband left me when I was 17, and I told him he left me, but I raised you... He told me to go and die, go and die because there is no way you can help yourself, who'll give you soap again? I don't beg... I ask… he doesn't look for me, and I also won't look for him... Doctors sympathised with me, but they had nothing to do. They told me to leave... We were all embarrassed. They should not say we abandoned him, he is the one who chased us away,” the mother said.
Alimpa told his mother at the time as he further said that she wanted to sleep with him as she acts seductively around him.
All this was induced by the singer’s then-wife. After all this, Mama Fina who was looking after the singer abandoned him for disrespecting his mother and he has been living like a pauper since then. Although it took him a long time, he went to the village and asked his mother for forgiveness and the mother also answered his prayer.
