"Cindy should let go of the UMA Presidency before she puts herself to shame." Ziza Bafana

Dancehall singer, Ziza Bafana has revealed that songstress Cindy Sanyu is set to suffer with the UMA presidency, which she has constantly imposed on herself and refused to let go of even when the time seemed right to let the position go. According to Bafana, Cindy forced herself into the leadership role minus consent from other artistes, who are supposed to be her subjects by the way. This means that she’s literally leading herself together with the committee she handpicked herself.
Bafana further brought to light that many more artistes are i terested in the UMA Presidency and this is simply because there are lots of benefits such as being given a brand new luxurious ride, huge salaries and allowances plus occasional Parliamentary sittings. He mentioned that many artistes are dying for the position, not to server the musicians but rather to be served.
However, according to Bafana, all these can’t equate to the monetary gains from a serious and strong music career. He mentioned that he believes it would be better for musicians to stop focusing on UMA presidency and focus on building their music career because it is the only thing that can earn them a solid status.
Bafana then added that they will give these artistes the benefit of doubt and maybe this time round, they really want to work. However, what’s troubling is that these failed to do anything useful in the first term but they are still the same people vying for the same positions where they failed to serve musicians in the previous term.
Bafana additionally said that as artistes, they are disappointed that Cindy has blocked people who have been successful in music to rise to UMA leadership and do something for the industry. Bafana believes it is high time that Cindy stepped down and let someone else take control, something she is not willing to even hear about.
The singer also added that these artistes are going to ashame themselves with this power wrangle and in the end, they are going to be forced into doing things that will taint their images. He mentioned that this struggle for leadership could also cause a huge rift among the musicians hence causing a much unwanted disunity in the industry.
Bafana concluded by saying that Cindy is much lovedwhen it comes to music and she should therefore quit these wrangles. And besides, although she would be worthy to lead, she failed in her previous term and should hand over to others as there are many capable leaders. He urged her to follow the example of Ykee Benda who knew when to leave office for others to also do their part in UMA.
