The hot topic of harvesting and trading in body organs has become a major center of discussion in Uganda currently with some locals even going to an extent of cracking jokes about the possible financial value of selling one of their kidneys in order to vhange their lives from extreme poverty to instant wealth
One of the people who have brought up the topic of selling her body organs is the reknowned socialite and former sex worker Bad Black. The socialite mentioned that she is hesitant to sell her organ, specifically her kidney because she fears that one kidney cannot sustain her to live as long as she would have wanted however much she would want to earn the free money.
Bad Back also mentioned that for a kidney to be up for sale at a high price, it must be in good health conditions and in order for it to be healthy, she must quit alcohol, something she says she is not ready to do!
“If I sold one of my kidneys, I think I would have to stop drinking alcohol. I still enjoy taking alcohol. I also fear dying. My children are still very young.” She said
She, however mentioned that she would put all her fears in the trash and sell off one of her kidneys if one offered her a sum of USD500,000 on the table. She went ahead to boast that her kidney is a very lucky kidney and whoever got it would be very lucky to have a part of her.
“If I am pushed to the wall and I must sell it, USD500,000 wouldn’t be a bad price. Mine is a lucky kidney, whoever would get it would be blessed to have a part of me,” Bad Black noted during an interview with MC Ibrah Mukasa.
She maintained that the least she would sell a kidney for is USD450,000 because she just cannot let part of her go away that cheaply.
