Weasel Manizo has raised a lot of concern amongst his fans Countrywide. After the loss of his singing partner Mowzey Radio, it seems like his music career has not looked up again. Even with numerous attempts to revive his career, it has all proved futile.
Weasel has instead been trending for the wrong reasons, thus causing his fans a lot of concern. Recently, a video of an intoxicated Weasel has been making rounds online. Weasel visited Fangone forest CEO Alien Skin but when these videos went viral, fans started saying Weasel indeed needed rehab for his intoxication tendencies.
Very many musicians came out and commented on this however citing that whoever recorded this video had no good intentions for Weasel considering that they knew he is a celebrity and such a video would put him in a very tight spot.
Many have since come out, saying Weasel should receive help and have thus called out the Uganda National Musicians Federation as well as the Uganda Musicians Association to give a helping hand to Weasel so that he sets his life straight once again.
Cindy Sanyu, the Current President of the Uganda Musicians Association has come out to say that unfortunately, UMA is inclined towards taking care of musicians signed under it and yet Weasel does not fall under that category. She stated that this is the reason as to why UMA can not actively reach out to help Weasel.
While addressing the press, Cindy Sanyu stated that she stands with Weasel in prayer during this trying moment and at an individual level, she would like to meet Weasel and be of help to him personally. Cindy Sanyu noted that the challenges Weasel is facing are not physical, but rather spiritual hence he does need a lot of prayers from every one.
Cindy also stated that everyone needs to stand in solidarity with Weasel and support him through this tough time he is going through instead of being judgmental towards his actions. She therefore urged the public to reach out and pray for Weasel because no one knows exactly what he is going through as even most of the people surrounding him don’t know about his internal struggles.
For the longest time possible, Weasel has been known to be using alcoholic beverages, something that has always worried his fans. They have constantly been stating that the Mayanja brothers should collectively get a hold of Weasel and take him to rehab forcefully if he does not want to go on his own. The brothers have never addressed the public in regards to this however.
Well, in your view, should musicians collectively whisk Weasel away for rehab or would that be an invasion of privacy?
