Recently, musician Eddy Kenzo manages to win himself a meeting with the President of the Country, His excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Following this meeting however, it was reported that the UNMF received a donation of twenty billion Ugandan shillings through the Federation leader Eddy Kenzo.
Many musicians that are not under the Federation umbrella have already started with the disapproval, stating that they are being left out from these achievements simply because they are not under the leadership of Kenzo.
The biggest group that considers this unfair however is the Uganda Musicians Association. Cindy, who happens to be the President of UMA, has threatened to protest over this particular funding. She believes it's unfair to put all that money into one group, leaving others without a single thing.
According to Cindy, her association is trying all means to reach out to the Federation to share gains with them but where peace fails, they shall apply force.
"We are trying to reach out peacefully to the leadership. But if it fails, we shall find another way which is not peaceful for this to happen. It's very unfair to release all that money for just a particular group, leaving out all other musicians," Cindy said
Eddy Kenzo, however insists that he didn't receive any money from the President and the only issue that took him to the State House was to discuss matters of copyright law, not to receive any money.
