Singer Edirisa Musuuza known by his stage name Eddy Kenzo was earlier on thrown into court by Luba events and the ultimatum he was given was not to perform in Uganda at any event until the court finally settled this case where he was involved.
Luba events was accusing Eddy Kenzo of failure to go through with their earlier on planned arrangements and breach of contract. According to Luba Events, Eddy Kenzo had earlier on staged a concert organized by Luba Events and when the lock down hit the Country, the concert was halted but with agreement that since Luba had invested a lot of money into organizing, the very first concert Eddy Kenzo would do after the lock down was lifted was to pay up Luba for having invested in organizing the halted concert.
When lock down was lifted and Eddy Kenzo announced his concert, Luba was allegedly disappointed to find that he was not the one organizing the concert hence he mentioned that Kenzo had gone back on their agreement.
Now the news on the block is that Eddy Kenzo won the court case against him by Luba Events and promoter Luba after court ruled to allow him to perform anywhere in the country. Eddy Kenzo claimed he didn’t bleach any contract and he did what he was supposed to do as an artiste. He also mentioned that the government had already refunded every organizer that had organized a concert before the lock down hit the Country.
Luba events went to court and reported Eddy Kenzo and the court stopped Eddy Kenzo from performing anywhere in Uganda. However, on ruling day, everything has been solved and Eddy Kenzo is back to performing.
“Luba Events/Lubuulwa Moses filed a miscellaneous Application(1572 of 2022) seeking a temporary injunction against Eddy Kenzo. He wanted court to ban Eddy Kenzo from performing in any place in Uganda until he performs for him. Eddy Kenzo was represented by Counsel Kabega Musa and Counsel Faisal Balikurungi of Kabega, Bogezi and Bukenya Advocates. Eddy Kenzo is therefore free to perform in any part of Uganda as cleared by court. To God be the Glory” Eddy Kenzo posted on his social media.
