    The Ministry of foreign affairs for the federal republic of Somalia has issued a press statement for immediate releaase concerning the recent behavior of Ethiopia.

    Home to the African Union head quarters, Ethiopia used its postion to obstruct a Somali delegation from attending the Summit.

    The federal republic of Somalia has strongly condemned the provocative attempt citing that the would wound the diplomacy between the two countries.

    " The action breaches all diplomatic and international protocols and most critically the established traditions of the African Union." the Somali foreign ministry wrote in a immediate release press statement.

    The action is also cited to add to the growing list of erratic actions perpetrated by Ethiopia towards its neighbour in the horn of Africa.

    Ethiopia's conduct has been portrayed as detastable with many leaders expressing worry over the dynamics of the state's foreign policy suggesting that there is some scrutiny recquired.

    Ethiopia's action also has also justified that it has failed to treat all African countries equally despite being the host of the African Union headquarters.

    The Addis Ababa capital has proved indecorus in upholding the honour and privilege of hosting the A.U summit which may prompt the body reevaluate the location of its headquarters.

    Somalia has continued to urge the A.U yo conduct a credible and independent investigation into this outrageous conduct in line with the protocols of the Union.

    Established in 2002, the African Union is a continental body taksed with promoting unity and cooperation among the African member states alongside peace.

    lt replaced the Organization of African Unity which had been founded in 1963 to also foster growth and development among the countries on the continent.

    The current and incumbent African Union chairman Azali Assomani ought to make the necessary research into the provocative actions of Ethiopia against Somalia.

    By press statement release time, the government of Prime Minister Abid Ahmed had not released a single statement concerning the accusations made against them by Somalia.

    Ethiopia and Somalia have both been at logger heads since time memorial especially when it came to the question of territorial intergrity with both nations battling over the Ogaden province before it was officially dictated that it should be under the governship of Somalia by the African Union.

    The African Union should therefore scrutinise with care the issues pertaining these two nations and ensure that peace prevails once again.
