    Father Abraham of East Africa, Diamond Platinumz Loses Again at BET Awards 2021

    East Africa's father Abraham a.k.a Diamond Platinumz has lost once again at the annual BET Awards held in the United States.

    I call him father Abraham because this distinguished gentleman has children in every East African nation that is to say ; Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Burundi and Rwanda.

    Diamond together with other big-name artistes attended the show which was the first BET Awards show with a live audience since the covid pandemic started and this was last Sunday evening from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

    He was the only artiste representing East Africa and this was in the Best International Act category, a category set aside for talent from outside the US, especially in Africa and that's why most musicians in this category are usually Africans.

    Sadly, Diamond's luck ran out once again as he lost out on a BET award for the third time in his music career. He was first nominated in 2014, then in 2016 all which he lost.

    After losing, the singer had this to say to his fans;

    Through this award I have seen how much Tanzanians have unity, love and appreciation for us… I thank each and every one of you for the great love you have shown me…Diamond Platinumz

    Besides losing, the popular Tanzanian star, represented East Africa very well by wearing the shuka cloth, an outfit usually worn by the the Masai tribe of Kenya.
