Ray G, real name Reagan Muhairwe started singing in2009 while he was still in school but he came to fame in 2014 after he sung his ‘Amarari' song. However, he gained fame in Kampala after his collabo with Spice Diana dubbed “Omusheshe"
When Ray G and musician Azawi locked horns in an altercation, very many people came out and stood with Ray G in solidarity, mentioning that Azawi was being rather disrespectful to the humble guy. Many mentioned that she was starting to grow wings because if her fast found fame and it was the popularity getting to her head.
At that particular time, Azawi came out and stated that there was no bad blood between her and Ray G and that the two had already reconciled so netizens could rest assured that the two were on talking terms. There was also evidence of an image of the pair sitting together, all smiles
Well, netizens are now arguing that Azawi could be one of the major reasons for the recently concluded Ray G Live in concert event as it was because of her that Ray G got popularity in Kampala as he locked horns with one of the biggest female musicians in Kampala. It is also argued that this particular incident made Ray G a little more loved by music lovers than he was before (considering his humble personality which caught people's attention).
Another section of netizens however argue that even without Azawi's influence, Ray G was doing quite well way back from the ‘Omusheshe” collabo he did with Spice Diana. They have gone ahead to give credit to Spice Diana for always being a good support system to Ray G and also for nurturing him into the music industry, more so making him a known musician with in Kampala.
For the success of the Ray G Live in Concert event, there is a section of netizens however that does not accredit the massive turn up to Spice Diana and Azawi but rather to the spirit of togetherness that is common with in the Banyankore tribe. They go ahead to argue that the people from the West always go big for their own people and they could never let their own down. In all honesty, very many people were seen flocking in from Mbarara to support their own Ray G.
Well, with the ongoing social media debates about who Ray G owes this success to, what is your view about this?
