Following the outbreak of the deadly covid-19 variant dubbed 'fast spreader' from India yesterday, the health sector has since been on pressure to device means of how to combat its spread to Ugandans.
Today, health minister Jane Ruth Acheng has issued a travel ban to people flying in from India which is to start with effect from tomorrow 1st/May/2021 at midnight. According to the minister, this is to help limit the spread of the deadly variant.
She also said that 3 Agha Khan students who were returning from India tested positive for the variant. Please, stay safe, Wash your hands, wear your mask and keep social distance whenever you can.
