Another year is coming to an end and well, we are ushering in a new year. The norm as always has been that some people spend their final hours of the old year in concerts, others from the comfort of their own homes while some have always opted to usher the new year in from church, in the presence of God.
With one day to enter the new year and police having cleared over 1300 places for revelers to enter the new year with various musicians as well as fire works displays, pastors have already made plans to pray for their congregation in a special way for blessings ahead of the new year. Some pastors have also found a way to earn money while ushering in the new year.
Prophet Samuel Kakande of the Synagogue Church of All nations located in Mulago is has become the talk of town after asking his flock to pay UGX500,000 for the new year prayers which he is to carry out in his church and according to him, he is to crown the night with a special touch.
He mentioned that whoever was willing to usher the new year in with a special touch from him should appear on the very last day of the month with a total sum of 500,000 Uganda shillings and he mentioned that this was because the church is under construction.
“Those who want to enter the new year with a special touch, you come around on 31st during day. Those who come for the special touch will pay only UGX500,000 considering that we’re building. Those who are interested come in large numbers. am waiting for you”- said pastor Kakande in a video going viral on social media
It should be recalled that many people have come out to complain about Pastor Kakande always charging his church goers highly and the highlight of this year was when he asked all his followers to send him 300 USD to enable him buy a new monster ride. He also came out various times to sell holy rice to his followers and each kilogram went for UGX50,000.
There are revelers that are complaining about his extortion but unfortunately, his church goers are against those that are complaining saying that they are speaking blasphemy against the man of God. Well, as the saying goes, you can not convert a person that believes in their pastor!
