Former speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga has refused to leave the speakership race.
In the previous parliament, she said she would not return on the same card/position after being a speaker for more than 10 years
She promised the previous CEC members that she would leave this position for her by then deputy Jacob Oulanya.
She has however denied all those allegations today and made it clear, she wants the position of speaker and will not leave the race.
"I don't remember saying any of that. There is no agreement to back up that story. This is a new parliament, new CEC and we should move on."
It seems this race is getting hotter by the minute, may the best man/woman win.
