Musician Rema Namakula will be taking it to the stage this evening at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala.
Namakula will be performing for her fans who have waited for long to see her perform live on stage.
She promised to give her fans the best and will give her competitors a run for their money.
"I want to give my fans a surprise show. I am keeping the cards to my chest but everyone who is coming just know you will receive the best performance you have not seen in years. I am setting the bar so high." she said.
Namakula earlier revealed husband Hamza Sebunya is the main promoter for today's show.
Rema explained Hamza chose to promote her concert because it's something he wants to venture into. He wants to be organising and promoting shows so she chose to give it a try with Rema's memories of love.
Rema emphasized if it comes a success, the husband will take on the promotions role of other artists and he will be the one organising her concerts every year.
"Actually my husband is the main promoter of my concert. we want to give it a try and if it goes well, we shall be doing this. He is doing it through her company Akron Diagnostics." she partly said in an interview with a local television.
She also revealed fellow singer Aziz Azion as the main producer of the show. She wants her fans to receive the best sound.
Rema explained Azion is someone she has much trust in and she fully believes he will do a great job.
She said Azion will be majoring in sound production and choice of songs to perform on that day.
"He is my friend and I trust him with the work. He will be majoring in sound production. You know Azion understands music and all it's chords, he will be also choosing the songs to follow depending on their chords." she said in an interview with a local television.
Rema also said Aziz Azion will be directing the band and will handle everything related to sound on that day.
Other artists who will curtain raise for Rema include Spice Diana, B2C singers, Nina Roz and many others.
It should be noted Rema's last concert took place at Hotel Africana in Kampala on Valentine's day in February, 2020 and brought lovers who filled up the venue by 10:00pm.
Rema's stage has been constructed by the most trusted ATS events.The same people who were in charge of Spice Diana's concert in January, 2022 which took place at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
