Shakib Lutaaya’s sister has finally come out and commented on rumours that her brother, Shakibu Lutaaya who also goes by the name Shakib Cham, used to work for the late Ivan Semwanga, the former husband of Zari Hassan. There have been rumors recently that Zari met Shakib when he was still working for her late husband Ssemwanga and they developed romantic feelings for each other since then.
In an interview with Spark TV, the sister to Shakib also made her statements on what the family thinks about Cham’s relationship with Zari and she ended up revealing her brother’s age in the process. During the interview, she referred to herself as Zari’s sister in-law as she mentioned she is unopposed to the relationship between the boss lady and her younger brother.
“I’m Zari’s sister-in-law. I’m Shakib’s elder sister. He follows me by birth. Shakib is now about 35 years of age,” she said.
The interviewer went ahead to ask if the family was happy about that age difference between Zari and shakib and if their relationship looked like it would yield any positive results in the future. According to her, age is nothing when it comes to love. She mentioned that no one should mind their age since they are not the ones in the relationship.
“Kampala has one problem, villagism. If you find a 60-year-old man married to a 15-year-old girl, you don’t comment on that. Age shouldn’t be a determinant, it’s the heart.” She said.
She was then asked if she was happy that her brother was bringing a celebrity into the family and to that, she mentioned that being a celebrity does not put food on the table because it is not Zari that feeds their family and they have been feeding even before they knew her
"Celeb! What is a celeb? Does a celeb buy food for us? Those are just lovebirds. Does Zari buy food for us because she is a celebrity? No please. those are lovebirds. “ she said.
