To a few musicians, they have considered this the worst case of farmiliarity as they have been rated very cheap, contrary to what they believed they weighed in the music industry. Many have come out to complain after the immediate release of this said list and they don’t seem happy about their ratings. One of the artistes that came out to blast the promoters about the list is Uganda Musician Association President Cindy Sanyu, who has responded to the preset fees set by the Uganda Promoters Association as payment for artists.
The document, which has immediately gained widespread attention, has become the topic of discussion as numerous industry stakeholders have voiced their opinions.
Cindy Sanyu didn’t have any favorable words to say about the people who drafted the document making rounds. Through Facebook, Cindy asked where promoters get the nerve to tell artists to lower their standards just because they can’t afford them. She mentioned that every artiste set their price for a reason and they should not lower their prices just because promoters can not afford them.
The enraged singer finished her rant by advising promoters to hold off on employing artists if they cannot afford them.
