Things have gone from worst to west for jailed Kampala City socialite Sipapa after courts of law charged him with 10 fresh charges of money laundering.
Although Sipapa, real names Charles Olim and his wife Shamira Rukia Nakiyemba denied denied the charges, Makindye Grade One magistrate Lorna Patience Tukundane told the 2 suspects that the charges proffered against them are capital in nature so the court had no owners to hear out their case.
In the new charges, the lovers in a prosecution allegedly concealed ownership of motor vehicles, defaced the engine and chassis numbers and changed their original colours to red on August 29 in Buwate, Kira Town Council.
In the same high court hearing, the two suspects applied for bail but it could not be processed because due to lack of committal papers.
Sipapa and his lover have been on remand since September 9th 2022 and were further remanded until January 19th for mention of their case.
