Swangs avenue star singer Veronica Lugya famously known under her mononym Vinka has expressed how she is overwhelmed by Jose Chameleone's love for her voice and music.
In a candid interview with NTV Uganda on Tuesday evening, April 16, Vinka said that Chameleone's admiration for her music is one dream that had never come across her mind.
First forward, Vinka joined the art industry as a professional dancer and worked with Jackie Chandiru, Cindy, sera to mention but a few.
She later got an artist management job at Swangz Avenue, where she used to be Irene Ntale's manager.

While at Swangz Avenue, Vinka did voice overs for artists as well as radio Jingles and in 2015, her boss approached her and inquired if she could give music a try.
She took on the challenge and started recording as an artist. In 2016, she left artist management to concentrate on music.
Her first single was "level" followed by "stylo" where she featured Irene Ntale, Towards the end of 2017, Vinka released her song "Malaika" which established her as a serious artist.
Since then, she has gone on to release more songs like "Chips na Ketchup", "Overdose" ft Voltage music, "Love panic", "By the way", "Omukwano Guno", "Sure", "Oluyimba Lwomwaka", "Bebe" ft Inna among others. In 2019, Vinka signed a distribution deal with Sony Music entertainment
Despite all the successes she has registered over the years, Vinka has always been hit with stigmatization from the media especially social media for a long time. They have referred to her a man because of her deep voice. Others even said she is not talented at all.
Vinka now says it took Ugandans so much time to finally accept her for who she is. She said she knew that she was talented but people’s words used to put her down.
The bailando hit make explained that she has got so many compliments this year than she has ever got in her career. She said she was very happy when she heard that Jose Chameleone loves her voice after calling it very unique and he loves it.
“Whenever I meet Dr. Chameleone, he always tells me how he loves the tone of my voice. At Comedy Store, I was starstruck to see him dancing and enjoying my performance,” she said.
Vinka has had a number of hit songs for many years straight. She is one of the best stage performers in the country. However, she hasn’t had a concert of her own before.
