B.E.T award winning singer, Edrisah Musuuza also known as Eddy Kenzo has shocked fans to the core!
The 5-star Ugandan musician has disfigured fellow musician, Pia Pounds' Tupaate song if the reactions from music fans are to go by.
Many said Eddy was off topic and it was like he was just singing in his bedroom with an abnormal voice compared to his past songs. The lyrics, the rhyme, the vibe, fans sweared this was NOT Kenzo!
Some others claimed even Pia Pounds, the owner of the song cried soon after hearing Kenzo's lines and that MC Africa who was also part of the song sang better.
more reactions from the fans
Derek Sir Dear Eddy Kenzo that Tupaate remix wasn't necessary..! Shit sounded like y'all were on a live TV show.
Kirya Ug We need another Twende tupatte remix without Eddy Kenzo atleast mutekemu Bosco.
Unemployed youth The remix of twende tuparte you may think it was got from a mix tape of a Masaka dj the only thing missing is someone screaming ekyinyaaanya tekamu obutungulu cos what in the name of Kenzo is this
GENO ERIC “Pia Pound’s remix of tupaate with Kenzo was unnecessary “
Proud Mufumbira But seriously who wrote Kenzo's lines in the tupate remix
The Ignited Kenzo even sang off key. Oba because the song wasn’t his
Sharon Kiwanuka The Tupate remix isn’t so bad what were you guys making noise about? Also who dresses Pia up? She looks cute? Kenzo was off beat but not so bad. So what exactly was making people shout? Happy for Mc He deserves it. *goes to rewatch.
When was the remix released
The Tupaate Remix was released yesterday (on a Friday) because the hit song for the past few weeks has been mainly celebrated on Friday as most TVs and radios play it on that particular day of the week.
Pia Pounds, Eddy Kenzo and MC Africa who were part of the project all kept updating us on social media, announcing the remix's days to release each day of the week until the D-day yesterday.
So did Eddy Kenzo really spoil the Remix ?
According to fans, a big YES, going by the above comments but according to me it is a yes divide by 2 so that gives us a half yes.
I expected the multi-talented singer to give us professional stuff but it seems his time in the Tupaate Remix was one of his off days.
Not that the lyrics were bad, because we all know Eddy can sing anything and it becomes nice. Just take a look at his "Weekend" monster jam which has the craziest of lyrics which come out nice at the end.
But yesterday, ah ah (shakes head in disbelief) Kenzo... was not himself and my biggest complaint goes to the producer, Kusseim who did not sync his voice well with the song.
Kenzo literally sounded like he had just sent the producer a recorded low quality WhatsApp voice note from his mobile phone to be added into the song just like that.
And the fact that producer Kusseim accepted to add a low quality voice note to a real song just makes the whole thing worse.
Tupaate is currently the biggest song in Uganda
Almost being overtaken by Ykee Benda's Obangaina and Azawi's Slow Dancing, Tupaate is still the number one song in Uganda when you take a look at music charts around town.
The song's energy is reloaded every Friday when people are in Weekend moods hence making it hit more.

The only bad thing now is that Pia Pounds who could have been swimming in millions is sitting home watching her song hit for nothing since all entertainment in Uganda has been on closure since March last year.
However, in an interview with Observer last week, she said atleast she is satisfied with the progress of Tupaate which wasn't supposed to hit initially if it had not been for the coming of MC Africa, a humble man from Mbale who released 2 video clips dancing to the song.
