Albania Faces Must-Win Match Against Spain in UEFA EURO 2024.

Albania and Spain are set to clash at the Dusseldorf Arena on Monday, June 24th, in their final UEFA EURO 2024 Group B match.

Spain has already secured their spot in the last 16, thanks to impressive victories over Croatia and Italy. Albania, on the other hand, needs a win to have any chance of advancing to the next round or they can hope for Croatia to lose against Italy incase they draw with Spain. But if both  Croatia and Albania both draw in their respective matches, Albania will go through based on goal difference.

Albania's campaign has been rocky, with a 2-1 loss to Italy and a 1-1 draw with Croatia. They have struggled to find consistency, with only two wins in their last six matches. In contrast, Spain has been in top form, with four consecutive wins in their last six matches.

Despite the odds, Albania's coach Sylvinho remains optimistic. He said the following:

I'm so happy that we are still competing to get through the group stage. Almost no one believed we would be able to compete. Some people were thinking that we would concede three or four goals in each match, but here we are, still in the tournament.

Spain's coach Luis de la Fuente attributes his team's success to hard work and dedication. He said the following:

The match will see Albania's Strakosha in goal, with a defense comprising Balliu, Ismajli, Gjimshiti, and Mitaj. Ramadani, Abrashi, Asllani, Bajrami, and Laci will form the midfield, with Broja leading the attack. However, Broja, Daku, Gjasula, Hoxha, and Hysaj will miss the next match if they receive a yellow card in this game.

Spain will be without Rodri due to suspension, while Dani Carvajal and Le Normand need to be cautious to avoid yellow cards, which would rule them out of the next match.
