    Inter Miami could be the last club Messi plays for. Messi will not be part of Argentina's squad for the Paris Olympics as he is no longer at an age where he can play in every tournament.

    Lionel Messi says he is not prepared to leave football but Inter Miami could be the last club he plays for.

    Lionel Messi turns 37 later this month and his contract at Inter Miami expires at the end of 2025. Lionel Messi is still one of the best players in the world but he also knows he is reaching the age of retirement.

    He said the following to ESPN Argentina;

    I'm not prepared to leave football, I did this all my life, I enjoy the trainings, the games. The fear that everything's is going to be over, it's always there. I think Inter Miami is going to be my last club.

    Lionel Messi has won numerous titles and individual trophies during his career. He has won UEFA Champions Leagues, league titles, a World Cup, a Copa America and countless Ballon d'Or trophies, too.  He will surely go down as one of the greatest players of all time.

    Lionel Messi is set to represent Argentina at this summer's Copa America tournament. He still has 18 months left on his contract at Inter Miami, where he will be 38 at the end of it, but whether he chooses to extend his stay at the Major League Soccer team remains to be seen.

    LIONEL MESSI WILL NOT BE PART OF THE ARGENTINA SQUAD FOR THE OLYMPICS IN PARIS.

    Lionel Messi also won gold with Argentina at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Unfortunately, he will not be part of Argentina's squad for the Paris Olympics as he is no longer at an age where he can play in every tournament.

    Lionel Messi told the following to ESPN;

    I talked to Mascherano and the truth is we both understood the situation. It's hard (to think about the Olympics right now) because we're in Copa America. It would be two, three straight months of not being with the club, and more than anything I'm not at an age to be in everything. I have to choose carefully, and it would be too much to play two straight tournaments. I've been very lucky to play in the Olympics, of winning it together with (Mascherano). It was a wonderful experience on a football level. Olympics, U20, memories I'll never forget.

    The men's football tournament at the Olympics takes place in July and August. Teams are allowed three overage players in their squads.
