Bobi Wine prepares for his comeback concert in London.

Musician Bobi Wine, born Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu who is the National Unity Platform leader was earlier on banned from performing for revelers within the Country. Since then, he has never stepped foot on stage, be it to perform as a curtain raider for another musician.

His hope however was to perform in the diaspora but even that was washed down the drain when he was banned from the United Kingdom over his attacks on gay people in the UK. The ban on Bobi Wine’s entry to the UK was ignited because of his 2014 song that was dubbed “Burn Dem”.

According to intel we gathered back then, this song was allegedly criticized by human rights groups because they believed it was a song that promotes homophobic attacks, something that people in the queer community did not receive so well!

Bobi Wine was therefore denied a UK visa shortly after releasing the song, forcing him to cancel two planned shows in the country at that time. As time went on however, Bobi Wine was seen posting pictures of himself slaying in the UK. On 5th November, Bobi said that he was finally able to return to the UK.

This was when images of him holding the rainbow flag made rounds on the internet, confirming that he had no issues with people from the queer community and he also went ahead to stop his homophobic public attacks, instead vying for protection of human rights, saying that the gay people are also human.

Well, after 10 years of not setting foot on any stage for performance, it looks like Bobi Wine is now ready to grace the stage and perform for his fans in the United Kingdom in a huge show which he seems very excited for.

This particular show has been dubbed the “Return of the Gladiator” and news has it that this show is being organized by Job Links UK. The ‘Return of the Gladiator' show was once announced by Bobi Wine but it was still under the pipeline. Well, Bobi Wine has confirmed that the show is set to happen on April 20, 2024 at the Crystal Palace in London.

In a video making rounds on social media, Bobi Wine has been seen practicing for his show and in the midst of the rehearsal is when he mentions that he is bound to hold the mic once again in the diaspora. He therefore took the opportunity to call out his fans in the United Kingdom to mark the date and make sure to appear at the slated venue for a night of glamour and an unforgettable experience. You can imagine the excitement his fans have after not hearing him perform for over 10 years.
