The 66 year old actress came to be well known in 1990 when she landed a role with Arnold Schwarzenegger in Total Recall. She also appeared in other tales like The Quick and the Dead, Beauty, When a Man falls.
In 2021, the Basic Instinct star released a memoir known as The Beauty of Living Twice. In here, she makes a description of having been pressured to have sex with a co - star but left the names of the co star and the producer who did this unmentioned.
In an interview on Louis Theroux’s podcast, Sharon Stone finally reveals the names of the people who did this to her. She also reveals the movie she was working on. She says the movie was Silver. This was her 1993 work. In the movie, she starred alongside Billy Baldwin, a brother to Alec Baldwin.
The producer behind the work of the ‘Silver’ movie is Robert Evans who died in 2019. He was known for his great works like Chinatown, The Cotton Club. He also headed the production at Paramount of the Godfather, the Italian Job and the Great Gatsby.
Since Silver comes after the hit movie, Basic Instinct, Sharon says, “They expected me to bring home another giant smash hit and they gave me all these approvals but then when it came time for me to do it they told me it was a vanity deal and I couldn't have my approvals.”
She also continued to say she was summoned to Evans office when she was supposed to be on set.
“He called me to his office .He had these very low seventies, eighties couches so I'm sitting on the floor when I should have been on set.”
“He’s running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardener and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin's performance would get better.”
They gave her the positive side of having this sex with Billy Baldwin.
“And if I could sleep with Billy then we would have chemistry on screen, and if I would just have sex with him then that would save the movie and the real problem with the movie was me because I was so uptight, and so not like a real actress who could just f**k him and get things back on track.”
She saw this as something that was just disrespectful because when she looked back at her old works, she did not have to sleep with anyone to get the movie selling.
“I didn't have to f**ck Michael Douglas,” she says.
