Chelsea Targets Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Aaron Anselmino

    in summary
Chelsea is set to sign two players: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, a midfielder from Leicester City, and Aaron Anselmino, a defender from Boca Juniors. Dewsbury-Hall's versatility and goal-scoring ability impressed Chelsea, while Anselmino will join on a six-year contract and initially go on loan to Strasbourg.

Chelsea is keen on signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City, according to recent reports. The 25-year-old midfielder has emerged as a prime target for the Blues, who believe he aligns perfectly with their desired playing style under new head coach Enzo Maresca.

Dewsbury-Hall's impressive performances last season, where he scored 12 goals in 49 appearances, have caught the attention of Chelsea's scouts.

Notably, Dewsbury-Hall has a existing relationship with Maresca, who guided Leicester City to promotion back to the Premier League during his tenure as manager. This familiarity is thought to be a significant factor in Chelsea's pursuit of the midfielder. However, it's important to note that no formal offer has been made yet, and Dewsbury-Hall's contract with Leicester City runs until 2027.

Brighton & Hove Albion had previously expressed interest in signing Dewsbury-Hall in January, but a move failed to materialize. Now, Chelsea appears to be the frontrunner in the race to secure his services. Dewsbury-Hall's potential arrival at Stamford Bridge would bolster Chelsea's midfield options and provide a fresh injection of talent under Maresca's new regime.

While negotiations are yet to begin, Chelsea's interest in Dewsbury-Hall is clear. The midfielder's versatility and goal-scoring ability make him an attractive asset for the Blues, who are eager to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

It has also been reported that Chelsea is nearing the completion of a deal to sign promising young defender Aaron Anselmino from Boca Juniors, with talks now in advanced stages.

The 19-year-old is set to join the Blues for a reported £17 million and will sign a six-year contract. However, as part of the agreement, Anselmino will initially join Strasbourg on loan, a club within Chelsea's multi-club model, aimed at developing young talent.

Strasbourg has already hosted several Chelsea youngsters on loan, including Angelo Gabriel and Andrey Santos. Anselmino, who broke into Boca Juniors' senior team last summer, has made only 10 appearances, but his potential and versatility, having also played in midfield, have caught Chelsea's attention.

This signing aligns with Chelsea's recent trend of acquiring top South American talent. Earlier this month, they confirmed the €57 million signing of 17-year-old Palmeiras winger Willian Estevao, who will join the squad next summer after turning 18. Anselmino's addition further strengthens Chelsea's youth ranks, and his development at Strasbourg will be closely monitored before his eventual integration into the main squad.

The transfer highlights Chelsea's commitment to building a strong foundation for the future, and their scouting network's ability to identify and attract some of the continent's most promising young players.
