Turkish club Fenerbache have officially unveiled Jose Mourinho as their new manager.
Jose Mourinho has signed a two year deal with the club. Fenerbache will be the tenth club Jose Mourinho has managed in his career.
Jose Mourinho was unveiled by Fenerbache on Sunday evening at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.
He told the fans;
Your dreams are now my dreams.
The club's supporters embraced Jose Mourinho with constant cheering and noise.
Jose Mourinho was sacked by AS Roma in January, with the Serie A side sitting in ninth in the league. He was in charge of AS Roma for two and half years after he was dismissed by Tottenham Hotspur before he could lead the team to the league cup final against Manchester City. He was in charge of Tottenham Hotspur for only seventeen months.
Jose Mourinho won the UEFA Europa Conference League in 2022 with AS Roma after they defeated Feyenoord in the final but they lost the UEFA Europa League final to Sevilla in 2023. He also led AS Roma to two sixth place finishes in Serie A.
Jose Mourinho has replaced Ismail Kartal after Fenerbache lost the league title to bitter rivals Galatasaray by three points.
Jose Mourinho addressed the thousands of supporters in Kadikoy district of Istanbul with the following statement;
