The United States of America Embassy in Tanzania has warned that the country is under intense pressure from the corona virus pandemic.
The US Embassy said that the hospitals especially in Dare es Salaam are full to capacity and that some have even started sending away patients because of the capacity problems.
The embassy further blames the Tanzanian government for failing to release statistics about the number of infections and deaths for about (2 weeks now) in the country which have been rumoured to be 20000+ and 1000+ respectively yet the official numbers are much lower.
Tanzania's Neighbors, Kenya and Uganda have also been reporting many cases arising from many truck drivers originating from Tanzania who have tested positive for corona virus which further shows us that there is actually a big problem in that country
With the president, John Magufuli living in denial, Tanzania may soon become an epicenter of the pandemic here in Africa.
