    Uganda boasts a vibrant and diverse fashion scene that continues to captivate the world with its unique blend of cultural heritage, contemporary aesthetics, a rich tapestry of creativity and a modern touch of sytle. Behind this sartorial renaissance lie the visionaries and trendsetters who have taken Ugandan fashion to new heights with their awe-inspiring designs to their unwavering commitment to craftsmanship.

    Sylvia Owori

    She is a Ugandan fashion designer, businesswoman, model and entrepreneur born on February 23rd 1976 and she is currently 47 years of age. She is the co-founder and owner of Ziper Modeling Agency which was founded in 1999. She is also the the founder of the Afrcan woman magazine

    Sylvia Owori is one of the leading figures in Uganda's fashion industry. She has used her talent and wealth to bring out light to the industry through recruiting models and supporting fellow designers.

    She is known for having designed outfits for the contestants of the M-Net Tv show "Face off Africa" in Dar es Salaam and Cape Town in 2000, and also she designed Nokia Face off Africa’s Ugandan finalist’s outfit in 2001 and also for having designed outfits for the lead actors and actresses of the movie "the last kingdom of scotland" in 2006.

    Following all of that success in the industry she decided to embark on a whole new journey of uplifting the "Miss Uganda Beauty Pageant" from 2001 to 2004.

    Santa Anzo

    She is a Ugandan fashion designer, formal model, businesswoman, owner and chief executive officer of Arapapa Fashion House which she founded in 2001 after spliting from ziper modeling Agency that she co-founded with Sylvia Owori in 1999.

     She is also the founder and chairman of Uganda International Fashion Week which she started in 2003, this annual fashion show allows all fashion designers and creative to gather demonstrate and exhibit their craft.She was born in 1975 and she is currently 48 years old.

    She has exhibited at various fashion show for example, Kenya Fashion Week, Mozambique Fashion Week, Dar-es-salaam Swahili Fashion Week, Africa Fashion Exchange and others.

    Anita Beryl

    Anita Beryl is a Ugandan Fashion Designer and Entrepreneur born January 1st 1986. She is the founder and owner of Beryl Qouture, a luxurious clothing brand that basically deals in making high quality dresses. Her brand started out a bridal clothing brand but later evolved and became more versatile. She is also known for being the creative director of Beryl Qouture where she is never shy to bring out her ideas to light. This has made Beryl Qouture one of the most successful brands in Uganda.

    Her work has also featured in various fashion shows across Africa for instance, Accra Fashion Week and Swahili Fashion.

    Brian Ahumuza

    Born November 1st 1990, Brian Ahumuza, commonly known as Abryanz, is a renowned Ugandan fashion entrepreneur and stylist. He has made significant contributions to the fashion industry in Uganda. With a keen eye for style and a passion for promoting African fashion, he has become a prominent figure in the African fashion scene.

    Ahumuza's journey in the fashion industry began in 2010 when he founded the Abryanz Collection, a fashion house that specializes in designing and producing high-end garments.

    He later started organizing the annual Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs), a prestigious event that recognizes and honors outstanding fashion talents in Africa. The ASFAs have become a platform to showcase African fashion designers, models, stylists, and other industry professionals, elevating the African fashion industry on a global scale.

     His actively involved in mentorship programs and initiatives aimed at nurturing and empowering young designers and models in Uganda. Through his work, he has paved the way for emerging talents, fostering a thriving fashion community in the country.

    Abbas Kaijuka

    Born December 15th 1989, Abbas Kaijuka is a Ugandan designer, businessman and stylist. He is the founder and owner of Kai’s Divo collections which is the number one stop fashion center for most celebrities in Kampala.

    He is known for his modern style and pattern that is inspired from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. This has earned him popularity in Uganda and the rest of Africa .
