He peacefully died at Windsor castle in his sleep.
He was 99 years of age and had been battling numerous diseases.
It was said he had also contracted Corona virus last year.
He married the queen in 1947.
He was a royal in the kingdom of Greece before he moved to the UK and married the queen.
He was also a pilot.
He did 200,000 solo trips in his lifetime.
The late prince will have a royal burial arrangements that will be communicated by the palace.
May his soul rest in peace.
